Launching my Career at Intel

After two months, I am very pleased to say that my job search has concluded!

In August, I will start working for Intel at their Austin, Texas office. I have accepted a position working under Jian Bao to debug, maintain and improve the microprocessor CAD development environment that the Atom processor team uses to lay out and test the chip’s design.

Not only does this opportunity touch on many of my areas of interest–all the way from GUIs and scalable algorithms to chip architecture and hardware design–it will also give me the chance to work with an international team and many of Intel’s high-profile developers. Since this software is used by several of the company’s processor groups, each of which has varying conventions and methods of laying out their processors, I will be challenged with creating solutions that are both flexible and functional. Finally, the contributions I make have the potential to directly impact a great number of people–a responsibility that I am both honored and enthusiastic to receive.

Presently, I am finishing my courses here at Cornell. With only a month of lectures left, looking back over my years in school I already have a bit of nostalgia; however, I’m sure that what comes next will be even more exciting. Thank you to everyone who helped me along the way, and I look forward to a long career with Intel.
